Shipping Solutions Export Software Versions 9.13 and 8.13 Now Available

Shipping Solutions export software is pleased to announce the release of Professional version 9.13 and Classic version 8.13.

If you are an active Annual Maintenance Program (AMP) subscriber, you can download the update from the AMP website.

The new versions include the following enhancements and fixes.

New Export Documents

Shipping Solutions includes several new export forms not available in previous versions of the software:

Commercial Invoice for Exports to Israel

Prior to April 1, 2018, U.S. exporters had to use a special green certificate of origin form to get preferential access to the Israeli market. That form is now obsolete and has been replaced with a declaration statement that must appear on your export paperwork, typically the commercial invoice.

Shipping Solutions now has a Commercial Invoice specifically for exports to Israel. The new document includes all the standard data elements that most exporters need to include for their export shipments in addition to the new statement declaring that the goods fully comply with the free trade agreement between the U.S. and Israel.

Consolidated Inland Bill of Lading

An inland bill of lading might be the first document issued for an international shipment. It is used to get the cargo from its place of origin to the port of export.

While the Inland Bill of Lading has long been a part of Shipping Solutions software, we now have a consolidated version, so that you can create one inland bill of lading for multiple orders going to the same customer. This document is not available in Shipping Solutions Classic.

Consolidated Generic Certificate of Origin

For countries without a specific free trade agreement with the U.S., the Generic Certificate of Origin can be used to certify the country of origin of your goods. These certificates must sometimes be notarized by your local Chamber of Commerce.

While the Generic Certificate of Origin has long been a part of Shipping Solutions software, we now have a consolidated version, so that you can create one certificate of origin for multiple orders going to the same customer. This document is not available in Shipping Solutions Classic.

New Features

The following enhancements are included in all three version of Shipping Solutions—Classic, Professional and Enterprise:

• You can now choose more than one phrase from the Phrases Database for the various notes and special instructions fields on the various export documents.
• There is now an option to append the ECCN code to the Product Description on the Commercial Invoice. Select the option on the Tools tab, Customize Documents screen.
• You can now add the Country of Origin to the Product Description on the CAFTA-DR Certificate of Origin. This option is also available for the Commercial Invoice.
• The new Consolidated Destination Control Statement has been added to the Phrases Database.
• The AES submission has been modified so that if you were receiving AES errors on the InBond Type or Sold en Route fields, those should be resolved.
• You can choose even more export data fields when you create a custom Excel report on the software’s Generate Reports screen (found on the Utilities tab).
• The address fields on the Shipping Labels (found on the Utilities tab) can now include apostrophes.

Dangerous Goods Enhancements

A few enhancements have been made to the Dangerous Goods screens including:

1. You can now add DG products directly on the EZ Start-Dangerous Goods screens rather than first having to add one on the Product Detail screen,
   
   
2. The Data Exchange Manager can now be used to indicate if a product should appear on the DG documents, and
   
   
3. Multiple lines can now be entered in the Dangerous Goods text fields.

Dangerous Goods documents are not available in Shipping Solutions Classic.

New Installation Process

Considerable work has been done on the routine that installs Shipping Solutions. These changes should better manage user permissions.
